    1. V = (4/3)πr^3 = 972π
    r^3 = 729
    r = 9 in

    2. V = (2/3)πr^3 = 18π
    r^3 = 27
    r = 3 cm

    3. How can a hemisphere have a base? Maybe you mean a great circle?
    A = πr^2 = 256π
    r^2 = 256
    r = 16

    V = (2/3)πr^3 = (2/3)π(16^3) = 4096π/3 cm^3
