    It’s always interesting to try and answer questions in Yahoo! especially when I have never heard of the mathematics involved. Try this link and have a read … I think it answers all your points:

    Some help with geometry homework? (Taxicab geometry)?
    So we got a worksheet on this, and neither my notes nor my book are helpful. So, what is the taxicab equivalent of π, and/or how do I find the area of a taxicab circle? Please keep the answer as simple as possible, I’m only in 10th grade geometry and math is not my strong subject. Thanks!

    I really need help with this-10 points for best answers?
    My teacher assigned me an assignmet to find worksheets online about parallel lines, we have to find three different sheets at different sites, print them off, and do them. I have spent the last two hours trying top find them and I won’t be able to get back online til sunday. Can someone PLEASE try and find these sites (preferredly ones you don’t have to pay for unless you are a teacher and already subscribe to them) l am in 10th grade honors geometry, so if possible, high school level. These are due on monday. 10 points to the best three worksheets

    THANK YOU SO MUCH
    i dont want people to do it for me- I NEED THESE WORKSHEETS and he said how we find them online not the homework, doing the worksheets is the homework

    A linear function is a graph that has a straight line from the points. equation is y=mx+b m= slope b= y intercept (where the line goes through the y axis.

    Distance is the space between to points on a graph. formula is found on here you cant type it. http://www.teacherschoice.com.au/maths_library/analytical%20geometry/alg_15.htm

    Slope shows the incline of the line on the graph to find that out use formula (m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)) M=slope. you need to points to do that.
    ex. point a: (1,2) point b: (4,5) find the slope you would go m=(5-2)/(4-1) =3/3 =1 slope is 1,1 up 1 to the right 1.

    midpoint is when you need to find the middle of 2 points. the formula is
    (x1+x2)/2,(y1+y2)/2… see the coma separating it when u get the answers it will give you a cooranite. (x,y)…… website to help http://math.about.com/library/blmidpoint.htm

    Quadratic functions here is a website…. http://www.analyzemath.com/quadraticg/quadraticg.htm

    hope i helpeddd :) )

    good luck =]

    i have extreme issues understanding math?
    i’m in the 10th grade and taking geometry. last year, i took algebra and barely passed with a 70 for three nine weeks. i have a really hard time keeping up with the curriculum because math teachers tend to teach in a way that makes no sense to me.

    so, i failed the last two tests, and i’m going to make up the last one, so here’s what i need:

    can someone please explain, in detail, LINEAR FUNCTIONS; DISTANCE, SLOPE AND MIDPOINT; QUADRATIC FUNCTIONS.

    if you don’t know how to do any of that, can you think of any websites that would help me understand this? like a website with worksheets and examples? that would so amazing. i’m really struggling with this right now, and any help is appreciated. thanks!

    Geometry Homework Problem Help Me!?
    Hello everyone I am experiencing homework problems here is what I have.

    Basically needing to solve x and y for degrees of angles on two perpendicular lines.

    Lines a and b have (x+2y) and (6x-10) I know that 6x-10=x+2y but I have no idea how to isolate the variables to get x and y.

    Also on the same chart lines c and d have (3x+y+10) and (x+y) I know that it is 3x+y+10+x+y=180degrees

    PLEASE help me, This homework is a turn-in worksheet worth a quiz grade which would greatly benefit my grade!

  9. Pi R Squared says:

    Hi,

    6x-10=x+2y
    3x+y+10+x+y=180

    These equations simplify to:

    5x – 2y = 10
    4x + 2y = 170
    ———————- Add these together.
    9x = 180
    x = 20

    If x = 20 and 5x – 2y = 10, then:

    5x – 2y = 10
    5(20) – 2y = 10
    100 – 2y = 10
    -2y = -90
    y = 45

    x = 20 and y = 45 < ==ANSWER

    I hope that helps!! :-)
